We know exactly what is required and can recommend a language training centre to help give you the confidence to apply and succeed when you’re ready.
Help with finding a suitable UK-based course
To reduce the chance of your application being delayed or denied, we have developed a service that assists you in meeting the minimum student visa entry requirements before you begin your application.

Improving your application and preparing your papers
Our team of visa experts understand exactly what the Home Office is looking for in a successful applicant. Using that knowledge, we can give you tailored advice on how to improve any weaknesses within your application.
We will also prepare all your papers and write a letter so your application can be processed swiftly by the Home Office. Our team will be there every step of the way until a decision has been made.
Fast-tracking your visa application
Sometimes you need a final decision on your visa application urgently.
That’s why we offer our specialist same-day service. We can generally provide this fast-tracked option to clients who are wishing to switch to a Tier 4 student visa quickly. We are able to provide you with this service thanks to our good connections with both the Home Office and the Public Enquiry Office.
Decisions on the same day
When you fast-track your application, a decision is usually made on the same day. You’ll need to attend a meeting at the Home Office accompanied by a member of our team first, but you’ll know that day if you’ve been successful.
Whether you require advice about your student visa, a review of your application or hands-on guidance preparing your visa to study in the UK, we have a range of fixed-fee and fast-track packages to choose from.
Our student visa services
The Tier 4 student visa
If you want to live and study in the UK, you will probably need to apply for a tier 4 student visa. Our solicitors can help you understand exactly what it means to apply for this visa and guide you through the application process with ease.
Doctorate Extension Scheme
The Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES) is designed to provide PhD students with a bridge to Tier 2 and Tier 1 visas. If you have almost finished a UK PhD, or other doctorate qualification, the Doctorate Extension Scheme lets you apply for an additional 12 months residence to look for work.
Extending your student visa
You may require additional time in the UK after your visa has expired. If that’s the case, our immigration solicitors can help you extend your visa or switch to a different visa, depending on your circumstances.
We can guide you through all the requirements, and help you work towards a successful outcome with as little delay as possible.
Appealing a decision
Sometimes visa applications are denied. This may be because the necessary documentation wasn’t provided, you applied for the wrong visa or if you simply didn’t meet the general requirements. However, a rejection doesn’t have to be the end of the road.
You’ve gone through the lengthy, expensive and difficult process to apply for your visa, only to find out your visa was denied for a reason you don’t believe is fair. This is understandably very frustrating, but something may be able to be done, as you may be able to appeal the rejection.
It is not always possible to appeal, however in cases where this is possible and where applicants have done so, up to as much as 50% were successful(2017-2018). This is why we would always advice you to let us assess your circumstances to see what rights and options you have.
Depending on why your visa was denied and what your circumstances are we will be able to help. We can help you appeal the initial decision made on your visa application and help you get the student visa you want.
We will explain to you what your rights of appeal are and decide what you would need to do to make a successful application second time around.
Student visas for children
Children aged 4 to 17
If your child is aged between 4 and 17 they can apply for either a long-term or a short-term study visa, depending on their circumstances.
Long-term study visas
If they are aged between 4 and 17 and they will be studying for more than six months, they need to apply as a child student under the Tier 4 of the points-based entry system.
Please note that if your child is under the age of 15 they will only be eligible for a long-term study visa if they’re attending an independent, fee-charging school.
Short-term study visas
If your child is under 18 and they will be studying in the UK for six months or less, they can apply as a child visitor. There are a number of set conditions that need to be met before you can apply for this visa on your child’s behalf.
To be granted a UK short-term study visa, your child needs to:
- Have enough funds to support themselves throughout their stay
- Have suitable accommodation in the UK
- Have enough funds to pay for their return or onward journey once their visa expires
