Background

I have specialised in employment law for some 13 years now, having begun my career working in employment legal aid after completing my LPC at the College of Law in Chester. I was initially a Claimant representative, assisting Claimants with all types of employment tribunal claims up to and including representation at Employment Tribunal hearings. During this time I also taught employment law (level 3 and 6) for CILEx at the Law Academy in Liverpool. After Legal aid for employment law was abolished in 2013 I studied for and obtained my CIPD level 5 in HR Management and moved over to Respondent work, advising various sized Respondent businesses across all industries in relation to every aspect of employment law. Most recently I worked as an Advocate, representing Respondent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings up and down the country, including Case Management Hearings, substantive preliminary hearings, reconsideration hearings, and full merits hearing. As I have extensive experience in advising both Claimant and Respondent clients across all areas of employment law it enables me to have a thorough and well rounded approach to any matter I am instructed in relation to.
